From March 28-April 4, 2019 YPAS Choir and Orchestra students toured in Wales and England. We performed in Ferdale with the Cor Meibion Morlais, a men's choir based in Ferndale. We also performed in the church of the Holy Trinity in Stratford-upon-Avon where Shakespeare is buried and Southwark Cathedral in London. 

During the tour we visited Stonehenge, Cardiff Castle, historic Shakespeare sights, Oxford, and several places in and around London. 

Members of the YPAS Choirs participated in the Windy City Choral Festival with Z. Randall Stroope at Chicago's symphony hall. We sang with a mass choir of several different schools under Dr. Stroope's direction, and we performed a set of our own repertoire on the symphony hall stage. 

January 12-15, 2017 students from the YPAS Choirs toured New York City! We performed in the observatory of the Empire State Building and at St Malachy's "The Actor's Chapel" on Broadway. Prior to the tour students from across the four curricular ensembles rehearsed together to prepare for these concerts. 

We also saw a beautiful performance of Romeo et Juliette by Charles Gounod at the Metropolitan Opera. Some of our singers aspire to perform on that level, and it was a true treat to see what heights we can attain as singers with the right work ethic and determination. 

The night before the Met performance, after a dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, we stuck it to the man at School of Rock on Broadway. Everyone left that performance excited because it was so fun. We even ran in to one of our favorite alumni! 

All of the singers have a photo book DVD, so if you know someone that went, ask them to see all the pictures! The trip was great, and we look forward to future travel in YPAS Choirs!

From June 7-June 14, 2016 members of the YPAS Choirs and Orchestras visited Costa Rica. We performed three feature concerts, an informal concert for people staying at Punta Leona resort and the orchestra students participated in a side by side rehearsal with the National Youth Symphony of Costa Rica. The country was so beautiful, diverse, and unexpected in many ways. The people were very receptive of our performances and we learned a great deal about another culture. Pura Vida!

The YPAS Chamber Choir was selected to perform at the American Choral Director's Association Southern Division Conference in Chattanooga, TN in March of 2016. This selection was a great honor for our choir and our school, and we had a great time both preparing for and participating in the event. 

In 2014 the Men's Choir was selected to perform as part of the Intercollegiate Men's Choruses National Conference at Rutgers University. The Chamber Choir also went on the tour and had an informative exchange with the LaGuardia Performing Arts High School's choir in Lincoln Center. In addition to our performance at Rutgers we were able to attend performances of Stravinsky's Oedipus Rex at Rutgers, The Enchanted Island at the Metropolitan Opera, and Les Miserables on Broadway! 

Over spring  break of the 2012-2013 school year, 31 YPAS Choir members went to Italy. The trip was a great experience for culture as we visited small towns during their Easter break and a great experience for music as we were able to perform in some stunning venues. We sang during Easter mass in Rieti and as part of a mass at St. Peter's Basilica. We also performed stand alone concerts in Rieti and Rome. See below for just a few pictures of the tour.
